seven art fair at art basel miami
These seven art dealers: Hales Gallery, Ronald Feldman Fine Arts, Postmasters Gallery, P·P·O·W., Winkleman Gallery, & BravinLee Programs were showing work as part of the Seven Art Fair. I really liked the format of the show, which was somewhat similar to the layout of the Independent Art Fair (which happens in NYC in March),
and in a large, raw warehouse space in the Wynwood Arts district of Miami, like (and next to) the Fountain Art Fair (where Cheap & Plastique exhibited). More info on Seven here.
Some highlights from the Seven Art Fair:

Bob and Roberta Smith, Pierogi

Rory Donaldson, Winkleman Gallery

Philip Akkerman, Bravinlee Projects

Iva Gueorguieva, Bravinlee Projects

Yes, these are real human male testicles, possibly the closest I will ever get to a detached set!

scope art fair art basel miami
It seems like Art Basel Miami was eons ago… yet I have not finished editing all of my photos from the many fairs. As soon as I got back to New York extreme sleepiness took hold of my body (turning me into a complete nap slut), then there were previous obligations to
be taken care of, and now the holiday party season has kicked into full gear and the task of drinking wine and having fun has seriously taken over all of my free time (poor me!) But I shall keep editing, bit by bit. For now, some highlights from the Scope Art Fair:::

Mister Robotowitz reports from Art Basel Miami
Last week my design cohort, mister robotowitz, ran off & left me all alone in our window-free, extremely hot, secret nyc design HQ so HE could drink endless bellinis under perfect blue skies, whistle at ladies in teenie weenie polka dot bikinis, and act as cheap & plastique‘s arty correspondent at Art Basel Miami Beach. he kindly photographed some things that he thought i might enjoy (and some things he knew i would not enjoy, just for comparisons sake).

i do quite enjoy me some nick cave so this was a good start!
RUBELL COLLECTION:::

i have been rambling on a lot lately about popping pills and feeling out of my mind from steroid usage… so i guess this makes sense.

i like gaudy chandeliers.

i like LIQUOR & PILLS!!!!

OTHER STUFF::::

i like this monkey face because it reminds me of how my brain feels on steroids.

i like this guy cause he seems like he’d be a cool dude if he were to come to life.

i like metal (sometimes).

i like this installation cause it looks all sorts of fucked up and i like fucked up stuff.
