i have never had a strong desire to go to the opera until now, i think working at lincoln center and seeing the beautiful posters around the l.c. campus on a daily basis plus the fact that this is a william kentridge production makes this work seem very appealing to me. i also have a soft spot for soviet imagery and the absurd… so i guess i am going to have to fork over the dough and DO IT (sadly the cheapy/poor person seats are all gone).
