i discovered this cool shop, maryam nassir zadeh, on norfolk street, in the LES, after walking over the williamsburg bridge on my way to deitch and team gallery the other day. i had never noticed it before, pretty sure it is new. i was a much bigger fan of the accessories and the other random stuff they had in the space–like pretty arty zines, lucite sculptures, fancy shoes i cannot afford, & locally, handmade jewelry–than the clothing. the clothes leaned a bit too much in the cream-colored, oversized, bohemia-wear direction for my tastes but all seemed to be constructed nicely and with interesting materials.
